Gadu Gadu is an instant messaging application, which is the best-known in Poland, where it was released. Although this software is not very popular outside Poland, it is still worth to mention it here. With every year, this application is more and more extensively developed, and now we have a very functional tool for communication over the Internet. The latest version of this application allows not only for communication via the classic text chat, but also for videoconferences with two or more participants. Gadu Gadu offers also a wide range of various, colorful and funny emoticons, which will enrich our dull conversations and will help us to express our feelings more accurately. With this application we can also send some files to other users. Quite a few interesting solutions were introduced also in the previous versions of this instant messaging software. For example, during the installation we are offered with a couple of interesting contacts, thanks to what we can even chat with some authorities from the world of cars and motorization, or with people involved in the music industry, and so on. Additionally, Gadu Gadu offers also the possibility to listen to the Internet radio.Another interesting function here is associating friends. When users add someone to their contact list, this application immediately associates their common acquaintances. One of the drawbacks mentioned in the case of this application is the impossibility to stop updates – when we want to stay with a specific version of this application, without advancing to the next ones. The updates are conducted automatically, and many users complain about that. However, Gadu Gadu is still considered a very good instant messaging application, and it is not surprising that it attracts millions of users.
