Daemon Tools Lite
Daemon Tools Lite Lite is probably the best-known application designed for reading disc images. It can handle all kinds of data and manages to overcome such security mechanisms as Safedisc, Protect CD, Securom, Laserlock, CDCOPS, StarForce and many more which protect CDs and DVDs. Without a doubt, Daemon Tools Lite Lite is the most efficient application when it comes to overriding the above mentioned safety systems. In the case of virtual drives, this application is also very simple, so everybody will be able to emulate their own drives. Daemon Tools Lite Lite can create up to forty virtual drives to run at once. This number should impress even the most demanding users, especially gamers who often use pirate CDs or simply use disc images to spare their physical drive. Of course, the possibilities to use this application are various and multiple. Some users may use Daemon Tools Lite Lite in order to give their optical disc drive a break (so in order to protect it from any damage due to overuse), and some others simply appreciate the silence – hard disk, on which the disc image is saved and from which it is emulated, works much more quiet than the optical disc drive, which runs the CDs. Yet some other users may need to decode some security mechanisms, and these Daemon Tool handles just fine.Daemon Tools Lite Lite supports most of the extensions of disc images, such as CUE/BIN, ISO, CDI (Discjuggler), B5T (BlindWrite 5), BWT (Blindwrite), PDI (Instant CD/DVD), CCD (CloneCD), MDS (Media Descriptor File), or NRG (Nero). This application is available in many language versions. Also, it is released on the freeware license, so it is free to use at home.
